Dr Hamilton graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science in 2005, with major in pharmacology and microbiology. He received first class honours in pharmacology in 2006 before attending medical school at Monash University..
Brett graduated from medical school in 2011 and underwent physician training at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney. Brett trained in medical oncology through the Macarthur and Liverpool Cancer Centres, before doing a rural / tertiary specialised training program through Chris O'Brien Life House in Sydney and The Alan Coates Cancer Centre in Dubbo. H completed his specialist training and was admitted to the fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018.
Brett maintained a strong interest in the delivery of oncology services in regional and rural settings throughout his training with placements and clinics in Bowral, Bathurst, Dubbo, Cobar and Coonabarabran. He is currentl completing a Masters in Medical Statistics.
Brett moved to Albury as a medical oncologist in 2019 and treat all solid malignancies, with special interests in cancers of the lung, head and neck, and genitouringary tract.
