There are single and shared rooms, each with a garden view. Every
effort is made to accommodate you in the room of your choice.
If your preference is not available at the time of admission,
your request will be met as soon as possible.
Tea /Coffee
Tea and Coffee making facilities are available for patients and
their visitors at no cost.
Telephones
There is a phone (with a direct dial number) next to every bed.
Local calls are free. STD and mobile calls require a phone
card, which may be purchased from reception.
Please do not use mobile phones in the hospital as they interfere
with medical equipment.
Television
There is a television next to every bed.
Mail/Fax
Patients can send and receive mail and faxes, as well as receive
e-mails.
Mail received after a patient leaves will be forwarded to the
home address.

Newspapers and magazines
Newspapers are provided daily.
Meals
For minimal costs, visitors may join patients for a meal - please
ask staff should you wish to arrange this.
Laundry
The hospital does not provide a personal laundry service. Please
make your own arrangements with the help of family or friends.
If this is not possible, ask you nurse about alternatives.
Hairdresser - available on request.
Interpreters - available on request.
Religious and social services - available on request.
Smoking
Wangaratta Private Hospital is a smoke free hospital. Smoking
is not permitted on the hospital grounds.
Visiting Hours
General Ward - unrestricted.
High Dependency Unit - by arrangement
with nursing staff.

Wangaratta Private is a DVA Veteran Partnering Hospital offering
a range of services to the Veteran Community. As a DVA partnering
hospital Wangaratta Private has a Veteran Liaison Officer to
assist Veterans and their families before, during and after
a hospital stay.
